November 15th, 2010, 8:00am.
We had great family support this morning; big sister Kaitlyn, Aunt Jani, Grandma Rosie.
Jack met with Dr. Federman and his team of specialist ready to fight the fight.
The teams #1 goal: Save Jack's Life
The CT scan performed last week showed no signs of Synovial Sarcoma in Jack's lungs; however, the view was partially obstructed due to the pneumonia infection, so an additional CT will be necessary. Fact: Only 250 Synovial Sarcoma cases in the world are recorded each year.
During the appointment Dr. Federman discussed the possible treatments; however, until the tumor board meets on Thursday, we won't know for sure which is best.
Our follow up appointment is set for Monday, November 22nd. This is when we will have a treatment plan for Jack. Once set, it will be put into motion within 1-2 weeks.
Jack is dealing with this as any other 14 year old would. The Lord, his family & friends, and the encouraging words from everyone is helping him look ahead and stay strong.
GOD has given our family many blessings and we thank all of you for your continued prayers.
