What's A Mother To Do?

A week and a half ago, Jack was fooling around at school and twisted his "left" ring finger in the hood of a friends sweatshirt.  For the next several days it was quite swollen, bruised, and stiff.

Jack continued to play golf but on Monday complained that his finger still hurt a lot.  If you're thinking was I was thinking, "what were the odds"???.  I immediately called for a doctors appointment.  On Tuesday, an xray was taken of the finger, and thank you Jesus, is was only a fractured finger.  I will take a fracture over a tumor any day.  Jack now has a cast from the tips of his 3 left fingers to just below his elbow...(a little over kill?)  The cast will stay on for about 2 weeks until we see the ortho.

Someday's I wish I could put my kids in plastic bubbles and protect them from the world, but I know this isn't possible.  At their age; however, each experience is a learning lesson that I pray will make them wiser.

Your continued prayers for Jack's healing is a comfort.

Jump Every Hurdle - April was 4 month post-op.
